Born Calgary 1910, grew up in Toronto, graduated from O.C.A. post-graduate study in England, teacher of drawing and painting at Central Technical School, Toronto, liturgical artist.
Member and president Ontario Society of Artists, and Can. Soc. Ptrs. in Water Colour, member Royal Can. Academy, Fellow Ont. Coll. of Art, Order of Canada, Order of Ontario, L.L.D.U. of Calgary.
Regular solo exhibitions since 1932, widely represented in public, corporate and private collections including the Queen's collection. Subject of three retrospectives in public galleries since 1990.
Author of autobiography in two volumes, A Fool in Paradise and The Good Wine.
